Diploma in TESOL by ELS Language Centres Malaysia
ELS Language Centres recently added the Diploma in TESOL programme to the list of programmes it offers. Albert Einstein once said that it is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken creative expression and knowledge.
Prospective students, upon successful enrolment, will find themselves being moulded to become the kind of English teacher advocated by Einstein, one who is inspired and will similarly motivate his students in their pursuit of knowledge.
This is in true spirit with the Centres’ approach to learning.
What’s in store?
The programme will span two years and prospective students will be enrolled in 30 courses throughout that time-frame.
The aim of the programme is to equip students with solid linguistic and pedagogical knowledge, coupled with hands-on teaching experience through supervised teaching and observation.
Courses in store for prospective students include Principles of Classroom Management, Teaching English for Academic Purposes, Concept in Managing a Language Programme and Pedagogical Model, to name a few.
Assessments differ from course to course. While some courses may emphasise coursework, others may rely more on the outcome of examinations. Either way, students will be able to depend on the input of highly qualified and experienced lecturers.
In line with ELS’ approach to flexible learning, classes take up four to six hours every day but this is inclusive of breaks in-between for self-study or group discussions.
By the end of the two year programme, students will be fully equipped to teach having acquired the theories, skills and varied practices needed to become effective English language teachers.
Why ELS?
Holding to its purpose of delivering only the best, the team behind this programme comprises extremely skilled and knowledgeable TESL/TESOL trainers.
The programme will see students attend classes that will fully immerse them in the English language for the duration of their studies. ELS believes in empowering people through language and as such, opens enrolment for the Diploma in TESOL to high-school leavers.
The criteria for enrolment are that candidates must have obtained three credits in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or ‘O’ Levels inclusive of a pass grade in Bahasa Malaysia, or a Level 6 CIEP score or an IELTS 5.0 score.
ELS Language Centres Malaysia, registered under the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, is a company with 22 years of experience in teaching English in Malaysia.
ELS is now offering limited scholarships for the Diploma in TESOL to deserving Malaysians who have scored 4 A’s and above in the SPM.

I love this idea to reinforce and practise using English. I am considering doing volunteer work in my community by teaching ESL and hadn't even slightly thought of using games.

I agreed with the idea to reinforce and improvement of English needs. as i come across https://bigben.academy/ doing these as well. For those who in need of English improvement might take a look at this.
