ALOR SETAR, April 13 (Bernama) — Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has launched four courses under its ‘Massive Open Online Courses’ (MOOCs) initiative.
UUM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak said the courses were open to anyone interested in furthering their studies.
He said UUM was mandated by the Higher Education Ministry to come up with the courses which will be available from the next semester.
“MOOCs offers online learning on a big scale to anyone interested in furthering their studies without time, place or border restrictions.
“It is in line with flexible education which stresses the concept of anyone, anywhere, anytime,” he said in a statement here today.
The four courses are Export Management, Islamic Banking Management, International Business and Introduction to Object Oriented Programming. — BERNAMA
