LSE Scholarships For Students From Malaysia: ECM Libra Datuk Roger Tan Memorial Scholarship

This Datuk Roger Tan Memorial scholarship is open only for those students who are studying at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) UK.

Its was advertised that the scholarship fund up to RM4 million, means to give full/partial grants for Malaysian LSE students requiring financial help, be they forthcoming or existing students, with the target of helping them to seek after their undergraduate studies at the LSE.

Eligibility of Applicant

Read carefully the requirement to apply for the scholarship below. Candidates of the Datuk Roger Tan Memorial Scholarship must fulfill the following requirements:  

1.The candidate must be a Malaysian. Proof of financial need is a MUST.
2.The candidate must have a conditional or unconditional offer from LSE.
3.Candidate can be a prospective or existing student of LSE.
4.Good extra curricular records with good command of English. Demonstration of leadership skills through active participation in extra curricular activities such as sports, clubs and/or community services.
5.Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarship, study grant or study loan, partial or otherwise, from any educational institutions, government bodies or any other organizations/foundations.

Recipients of the scholarship are expected to maintain good grades in examination results every year. The Trustees reserve the right to discontinue the scholarship in the event of misconduct (involvement in drugs, police arrest etc) and poor examination results or failures.
Scholarship Value

A full scholarship covers the tuition fees, living expenses, travel costs (flight ticket at commencement and completion of studies), relocation allowance and visa fee for the entire 3-year programme.

Or

A partial scholarship covers the tuition fees, travel costs (flight tickets on commencement and completion of studies), relocation allowance, and the visa fee for the entire 3-year programme.

How To Apply

Eligible candidates must submit their application in writing, together with the relevant supporting documents to:

Documents required to be submitted include:

  • Application Form
  • SPM, STPM and/or A-Level results or equivalent
  • Letter of offer from LSE for prospective students
  • Proof of LSE student status for existing students and examination results
  • Parents’ income tax returns for the last 3 years
  • Any testimonial from independent parties to support the application

Application is now open and must be received by ECM Libra Foundation by 6 July 2015 . Shortlisted applicants are required to attend selection interview(s).
