How to Combats Boredom in Class the Coolest Way
College Student Combats Boredom With Amazing Leg Drawings. Let’s face it — sitting in class for hours on end can become monotonous. But one student has come up with the coolest way to combat school-day boredom. Jody Steel, a 19-year-old college student at Emerson College in Boston, uses her leg as a canvas during class to sketch some pretty awesome and lifelike drawings.
Check out some of Jody’s pieces. There’s one of Walter White, the main character in “Breaking Bad”; Radiohead singer Thom Yorke; actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt; the character Freddy Krueger from “A Nightmare on Elm Street”; “Game of Thrones” character Daenerys Targaryen; a sketch that looks like what is exposed by skin ripped open; and an elephant portrait.
Jody’s leggy pieces of art caught the attention of the Web after she posted them to Imgur.com So far, they have had more than 500,000 views. Each drawing takes about 45 to 60 minutes to complete — that’s about the same amount of time it would take to ignore a lecture in Philosophy 101. But Jody says she’s an A student and has already been approached by companies around the world to design their logos. And if you can’t get enough of her work, she shows some more leg, as well as drawings on more conventional surfaces, on her website, JodySteel.com. – Mia Fitzharris, Yahoo News
